The Minotaur is a monster that is foundon floor 10 . A variant called a Deep Minotaur resides within the lower levels.
Description[]
The fabled Minotaur is a giant mythological creature that is a crossbreed between a human and a bull, with the head of a bull and the body of a man. This creature is marked with orange tribal tattoos and wears a green loincloth. The Minotaur wields a large glaive, which has a long reach.
Abilities[]
Powerful, multi-frame melee sweep of his glaive creates a shockwave as it lands.
Behavior[]
Patrols the area, occasionally stopping to angrily snort.
When it spots an enemy it quickly rushes forward, swinging its massive glaive in a sweeping motion to attack.
Field Notes[]
The Minotaur is one of the toughest monsters to fight in melee. As such, it is advised to use ranged weaponry to weaken it before engaging. Magic missiles are an exception however, as minotaurs are easily able to dispatch them before they deal damage. If ranged attacks aren't available, using magic missiles to lure it into a nearby lava pit is an effective way of dealing with minotaurs.
