Spellbook

Spellbooks fire missiles with effects that vary from offensive, summon or utility spells. Magic Books are generated with negative armor and a random spell, which does not deplete on use. There is a set limit per screen of each type of summoned minion. Different types may be summoned together if done in the appropriate order. Like hats and weapons, magic books can have up to three enchantments on them. Books are also known as Spell Codexes, Kazam Tracts, Pamphlets, Manuals, Voodoo Volumes, or Leaflets.

Spell Name Spell Details Spell Picture Equipped
Wyld's Tome of Vines Roots nearby enemy for a short duration. Rooted monsters are immobilized but they are able to attack. The item looks the same as other spellbooks but it's colored green.

Polymorph Possibly one of the best spells. Fires a flaming rainbow skull that moves very quickly in a straight line. If this spell collides with another monster, it transforms said monster randomly into a different kind of monster; worst enemies such as the grim reaper can thus become a mere skeleton or a bat.
